For over 50 years we have found answers to these questions and more in the teachings of Jesus Christ as revealed in the Bible. To apply what we’ve learned in the daily rhythms of life is the best way we know how to make the most of this one and only life. Jesus said it best, “”I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10) We believe him.
Church every day
The Bible teaches that the Church is not a building but an organic community of people who find their identity in the God who made them. We are a church, traditional in our beliefs but more than a building or even a service.
Wisdom for living
Where can we learn how to live? Scientists, religions, teachers and even politicians all try to tell us what to do. So, who should we listen to?
Jesus said, “I am the way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father except by me.”

Our Mission & Vision
Following Jesus is not just about what we think but also about what we do. In other words, our actions are the best way we demonstrate our beliefs.
We do this by studying God’s Word, caring for each other and through our work in Costa Rica with our sister community IONA Pura Vida.
Teaching
Everybody believes something. The Bible is our foundation for faith & life. We have found its wisdom to be life-changing, reliable and powerful for everyday living and challenges.
We study its truth together on Sundays at 4pm and individually throughout the week.
Mentoring & Discipleship
Every great athlete understands the value of a good coach. This is someone who helps guide, motivate and refine our training.
We believe strongly in mentoring, discipleship & coaching as an essential part of our path towards abundant life in Christ.
Service
James, the brother of Jesus, famously said, “Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.”
We show our faith in how we order and live our lives each day. Our fellowship serves together as we provide jobs, help the poor and strengthen the church in Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

Crecer Library
Bringing the gift of a library to children who have none. Promoting literacy and education to create opportunity and strengthen community.
Mies Montessori Christian School
Bringing creative and loving education to children in an underprivileged area.
Living Tree Workshop
Creating jobs and supporting families through apprenticeship and social enterprise.
IONA Wellness
Building the body through nutrition and exercise for better and more enjoyable life.
IONA Bible Institute
Strengthening the local church and leaders through mentorship and education.

The Adventure of a life with Jesus.
From the bottom of our hearts, from the truest part of our souls, we hope you find life like we have in Jesus Christ as revealed in the Bible. We know there’s a lot of bad information out there. We feel sorry for the way that religion and lies have hurt so many. But where else can we go? We have found life in Christ. It is real life. It is genuinely good life. Jesus gives us hope, meaning, peace, identity, belonging – even eternal life. Is following him easy? Nope. Is it good, oh yes!
Iona Fellowship focuses on rich discipleship with Christ at the center. It invites everyone to live in the sweetness of the Gospel and challenges me daily to walk as Jesus walked. I have been inspired to study Theology in university as a result of this church community in my life.

I thank God and IONA for the work and growth that I have had, spiritually and professionally. Every day we learn and know more about Jesus, It helps me to be a better man and a better husband.
